Our Bureau The Alipore court has ordered a search and recovery operation at the home and offices of SK Bangur, patriarch of the Kolkata-based Bangur Group, with regard to “stridhan property” as claimed by her daughter-in-law, Nitya Bangur.
Nitya is the daughter of the late Deepak Khaitan and granddaughter of Brij Mohan Khaitan, patriarch of the Williamson Magor Group. She married SR Bangur’s elder son Virendraa in 1998. However, in June last year, she, along with her two sons, moved out of the Bangur household.
The order for search and recovery was passed on December 7. Sources said searches were made at the home and offices of the Bangurs. A reports on it is to be submitted to the court by December 21.
