Covid-19: Over 10,000 patients discharged in one week in Maharashtra

State recorded 3,214 new cases on Tuesday, 248 deaths

In the ongoing war against Covid, patients in Maharashtra logged a recovery rate of 50.09 per cent on Tuesday evening. Ever since the outbreak, 69,631 patients have been discharged after full recovery. Last Tuesday (June 17) the cumulative number of Covid patients were discharged after full recovery was 59,166. In effect, 10,465 patients have been discharged from the hospitals during the week, according to the data released by the Public Health Department, Maharashtra government.

On the other hand, 3,214 new cases in the State were added on Tuesday, while a week ago the number was 3,307. The total number of deaths reported was 248, with a fatality rate in the State of 4.69 per cent.

The State government has also added five new pathology testing labs last week, leading to 8.02 lakh laboratory samples being tested with 17.31 per cent samples turning positive. Last week, seven lakh laboratory samples were tested and 16.65 per cent had tested positive for Covid-19, the data released by the Public Health Department said.
