New Delhi, September 26India reported 28,362 fresh Covid 19 cases on Sunday with 260 deaths in the last 24 hours till 8:00 AM in the morning, as per the Health Ministry data.
Meanwhile, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed the landmark of 85 crore on Sunday with 37.14 lakh vaccine doses administered till 9 PM, as per the CoWIN Dashboard.
The recovery of 26,032 patients in the last 24 hours increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients since the beginning of the pandemic to 3.29 crore. Consequently, India’s recovery rate stood at 97.77 per cent.
As per the Ministry, the weekly positivity rate at 1.98 per cent remained less than 3 per cent for the last 93 days. The daily positivity rate reported to be at 1.90 per cent, below 3 per cent for last 27 days and below 5 per cent for 110 consecutive days now.
Also the country conducted 14.88 lakh tests in the previous day aggregating to 56.32 crore tests done so far.
In addition, the Government informed that more than 83.54 crore vaccine doses have been provided to the States/UTs. Also, more than 4.56 crore vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs with over 1.17 crore doses in pipeline.
