A women’s entrepreneurship fostering body, based out of Hyderabad, has set itself on expanding its presence and reach in the country.
The Confederation of Women Entrepreneurs (COWE), which is engaged in the social and economic upliftment of women through entrepreneurship, has opened a branch in Chennai today in the presence of actress Suhasini.
Mangalam Balasubramanian, founder & managing trustee of Exnora Green Pammal and noted socio environmentalist is heading the Cowe Chennai chapter as the President.
From a regional body, Cowe is becoming a national entity said Soudhamini, its President. At present, chapters in Delhi and Karnataka are functioning. It has signed agreements to set up branches in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and will set up a unit in Seemandhra in the near future, a press release said.
