The profit after tax of the Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) has risen to ₹16.64 crore during 2017-18 against ₹7.24 crore during the previous year, according to a press release. The board meeting was held in New Delhi. The turnover for the year was ₹612.12 crore against ₹598.97 crore the previous year 2016-17. During 2017-18, the company carried out dredging activities for Kolkata/Haldia Port, Cochin Port, Paradeep Port, Cochin Shipyard, Visakhapatnam Port, Andaman Nicobar, Kandla, Gujarat Maritime Board, and Mumbai Port. EPS more than doubled to ₹5.94 for 2017-18 against ₹2.54 for the previous year 2016-17. The board recommended a dividend of 20 per cent.
