The domestic production of crude oil increased marginally but natural gas continued to fall in March on a year-on-year basis.
Crude oil production increased 1.7 per cent to 3.226 million tonnes in March 2015 as compared to 3.174 million tonnes in the same month last year
Natural gas production in the country fell 1.5 per cent for the month of March 2015 to 2.837 billion cubic metres as compared to 2.879 billion cubic metres in the same month last year, according to data released by the Ministry for Petroleum and Natural Gas.
Meanwhile, refinery throughput in the country fell 1.3 per cent year-on-year in March. Total crude throughput at refineries in March was at 19.330 million tonnes up from 19.580 million tonnes in the same month last year.
