The transition from college to a corporate environment requires a big adjustment for many graduates. Expectations and responsibilities in the workplace are very different than those in school and college, said Sri Harsha, Founder and Managing Director of Sarvagnya Solutions.

Speaking to students of CMR College of Engineering and Technology here on Wednesday , Harsha said students who have graduated recently need to be prepared for the changes. They should be ready to adapt in order to thrive in the professional world. He was speaking at The Hindu Business Line guest lecture series, sponsored by the State Bank of Hyderabad, on the topic “Getting Ahead — Campus to Corporate”. Harsha said technology, lifestyle, culture, and work environment are ever-changing. He enlightened the students on “value system, clarity of thought and connecting skills”.

Stressing on ethical behaviour and codes of conduct, he said, to be good was not enough, one needed to be the best. He made them aware of the problems they would confront if they lacked in communication skills and proper reasoning.

His advice to students was to develop a spirit of enquiry and exploration, and ardently pursue knowledge.
