An effective personality plays a key role in gaining success, said Arvind Bhatt, Director, Samvaad. Bhatt was delivering a lecture on ‘Success and Personality’ at Faculty of Management Studies, Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology (Autonomous), Jodhpur. The campus interface with the corporate world was organised by Business Line in association with Cairn India – the fastest growing energy company in the world.
Bhatt said that positive attitude is very important for achieving goals. He gave many examples to enhance one’s personality and saidthat one should change himself otherwise change will change him.
Constant, consistency and continuous efforts are necessary for success, Bhatt added. He further said that thought is energy. He gave the example of Lord Krishna and his personality traits as one of the important source. Bhatt said that success can be money, fame, name and designation depending on the individual’s thinking. He said that shyness is a big hurdle in journey of success. One should always have faith in oneself. Knowledge and practice are reasons behind the success of any person, he said. Bhatt added that a person should be on the right road, in a right direction and at a right speed to be successful.
A pleasing personality is one which is confident and effective, said Bhatt. He advised students to not focus on problems but on selections. Compliment others, don’t criticise them and welcome criticism from your well-wishers, he said.
At the end of session Ashish Mathur, Associate Professor, Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology, concluded by saying that success is progressive attainment of one’s own goal. Success not only depends on goal but also efforts.
