Budding entrepreneurs will get necessary support irrespective of their educational background to realise their dream from the District Industries Centre (DIC).
This was stated by the DIC General Manager G. Rajendra Prasad, on Wednesday while delivering The Hindu Business Line Club Talk on ‘Establishment of industries and prospects of Development’, organised at the V.R. Sidhartha Engineering College, Kanuru,
He made a detailed presentation on the support available for upcoming entrepreneurs from the Government to set up a small or medium industry in the lecture series being sponsored by the State Bank of Hyderabad.
“The Government has created an environment in the State in which a new entrepreneur can be an employer by investing creativity, while taking up any challenge”, said Rajendra Prasad. The Government was offering investment subsidy and single-window clearance facility for setting up new industries, he added.
“If one can think out of the box to come up with a small-scale industry project proposal instead of running after employment opportunities in the Government sector, there are plenty of options open,” he told the audience which comprised of about 100 members of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell of VR Siddhartha Engineering College.
Vijayawada offered good potential/suitability for setting up small and medium industries in food processing sector, he added.
“Apart from promising credit facility for over 2,700 self-help groups in Krishna District, we are sanctioning loans and giving free hand to individual woman entrepreneurs and groups to set up any industry for their economic empowerment,” said State Bank of Hyderabad Assistant General Manager Y. Satyanarayana.
