A clear perspective, determination and approach are necessary to win in corporate life, said Muthukumar Ramalingam, Managing Director and CEO, Dextrasys Technologies Pvt Ltd, Tiruchi.
He was delivering a lecture on ‘Win in corporate life’ under the Business Line Club of the Department of Management Studies, Oxford Engineering College, Prattiyur, Dindigul Road, Tiruchi recently.

He said that a placement in the corporate sector remains the dream of many aspiring youngsters, following their graduation.
Reports and surveys reveal that the corporate world is different to the experience they had undergone at the portals of education.
The result is that many struggle to get into and find the going tough to sustain themselves once they entered the corporate world.
Performance matters most in the corporate world.
One should prepare and rise up to meet the demands to be successful.
One needs to acquire the capabilities to clearly communicate, perceive issues in the right perspective, be compatible and able to distinguish professional and personal relations in workplace, be customer-focussed at work and have an overall view of the job and objectives of the corporate and perform in a ethically proactive manner that add value to the corporate body they served, he underscored.
He said that there are four stages in performance - doing a given job under guidance, doing the same independently without any supervision, identify the causes that impact quality delivery and execution and, lead the team to implement plans of company. One who rises up to the demands in scaling up these stages wins, he noted.
He exhorted the students to learn ceaselessly and acquire qualities necessary to rise up in life, explore every opportunity and experience to add value to their functioning and beneficial to the society.
They should aim at giving solutions to the problems facing the society, he emphasised.
Earlier, S. Senthil Anandan, Regional, Manager, TMB, Tiruchi, spoke on the scope for employment in the banking sector and explained the schemes offered by the bank.
Prof. Dr G. Seetharaman, Principal of the college gave a special address. Prof K. Sivakumar, Head of the Department, welcomed the gathering.
