The Finance Ministry has set up a 12-member advisory group for international taxation and transfer pricing.
The group, to be headed by the Revenue Secretary, will advise the Government about legislative amendments and administrative measures needed to reduce tax litigation and bring tax certainty.
Representatives
Besides a representative each from the three industry chambers — Assocham, FICCI and CII — the group will also have a representative of the CA Institute and a tax advisor of repute to be nominated by the Revenue Secretary.
From the Government side, the Central Board of Direct Taxes Chairman, Director-General of International Taxation and three joint secretaries have been appointed as members of the advisory group.
