Madurai Kamaraj University will not compromise on quality and has appointed experts to set question papers in various subjects, University Vice-Chancellor Kalyani Mathivanan has said.

“We have decided to seek the help of specialists to set quality question papers, if not tough question papers, in future,” she said addressing the Academic Council meeting at the University here yesterday.

Students had been complaining frequently about mistakes in the question papers.

An eight-member committee was constituted to oversee the question paper setting work, she said, adding, a full-time principal/dean would be appointed for the University’s evening college.

The university would organise a National Service Scheme camp from March 15-23.

The MKU, which has been accorded Centre of Excellence status, is now taking steps to get renewal of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council certification from this year.
