Kolkata-based NVD Group has tied up with the Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) to provide vocational courses to rural youths.

The company plans to set up the NVD-IIPM National College in the eastern and north-eastern regions in the franchise model. The college would offer six month-to-one year certificate programmes to improve the employability of rural youth.

While NVD will take care of the infrastructure needs for setting up of these colleges, IIPM would provide the technical knowhow, said Saibal Hazra, Managing Director of NVD.
