XLRI Jamshedpur on Friday claimed that the institute has placed nearly 98 per cent of its 2013 batch across diversified industries, despite a slowdown in global and domestic economy.
According to press statement, 75 recruiters offered 255 jobs in the past four days for a batch of 240 students.
The average salary offered for the batch was more than Rs 16.2 lakh a year.
About 65 students received pre-placement offers from their summer internships. While FMCG firms hired in big numbers, ITC was the largest recruiter in this space, the statement noted.
