Medical institution AIIMS announced the commencement of its maiden session here from Monday.
This is the first among the six AIIMS, announced by the National Democratic Alliance Government all across the country in 2004 besides New Delhi, to have started the session with the induction of 50 students, 30 of which are from Rajasthan.
Addressing the inaugural session, its founder Director and noted Onco-surgeon Sanjeev Mishra described the institute as a temple of knowledge and committed to set highest standards of teaching, research and treatment.
Joint Secretary (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare), Rakesh Kumar, “From next September, we will start the hospital, which will have 950 beds including trauma unit,” he said, adding that the institute will currently have 24 faculties, which will be increased to 91 by October.
