Altair Engineering India has partnered with KLE University to set up the Altair Design Innovation Center (ADIC) at KLE University's Hubbali campus. "Collaboration with Altair will help us expose our students to industry relevant technologies and tools," said Ashok Shettar, Vice-Chancellor, KLE Technological University.
The objective is to develop and facilitate competency on commercial FEM software from Altair, HyperWorks, and also help students conduct research activity with the help of FEM code, company executives said. "This partnership will result in KLE University producing future engineers with the relevant skills," said Pavan Kumar, Managing Director, Altair India.
Moreover, the innovation centre also aims at providing unlimited licences to students during their degree or post-graduation degree, facilitating various online learning and certification courses. Increasingly, academia is partnering industry to ensure that their students get placed and also incorporate industry-related changes in their curriculum.
