Confederation of Indian Industry and Amity University have jointly established an industry-led logistics school – CII School of Logistics – to create industry-ready professionals for the logistics industry.
The collaboration will focus on evolving research areas, aligning competencies with logistics specialised roles, exchange of subject matter experts and develop focused learning programme, said KV Mahidhar, Head of the CII Institute of Logistics.
To begin with, a two-year full-time MBA in Logistics and MBA in Supply Chain Management will be started in July. The course will be conducted at Amity’s Noida campus and at a later stage at Mumbai and Chennai, he told BusinessLine .
The logistics industry is growing twice the pace of Indian GDP and is likely to touch $150 billion, and employ 28 million professionals by 2022 from the present 17 million.
