Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, in association with Assist, an NGO, has dedicated the re-vitalised Manneguda School in Manneguda village in Ranga Reddy district of Andhra Pradesh, under the ‘Support My School’ campaign.

The school has been re-vitalised with donations from the company and contributions from its employees.

So far the company has 100 re-vitalised schools since June this year, with campaign ambassador Sachin Tendulkar providing the inspiration. The objective is to create a happy and healthy learning environment for students across rural and semi-urban India.

The season two of the campaign will be re-vitalising another 20 schools across Andhra Pradesh.

These schools have been re-vitalised with basic amenities such as access to water and proper toilets for girls and boys.

On this occasion, T. Krishnakumar, CEO, Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt Ltd, interacted with the students on the role of education in life and the importance of attending school.

‘Support My School’ is proving to be a catalyst for a much-needed change to build a better atmosphere to foster learning. This initiative involving Coca-Cola, NDTV, social organisations and community, is gaining momentum, he added.

K. Harishwar Reddy, MLA, said the initiative by the corporates and social organisations is an example on how to serve the communities in which they operate in a better way by giving back to them.
