Academic activity continues to be affected for the fourth consecutive day at the University of Hyderabad (UoH) on Wednesday as students are observing a bandh demanding action against those responsible for the suicide of Dalit Ph.D. scholar Vemula Rohit.
Administrative staff could not work as students blocked the entrance and classes were unofficially suspended due to absence of students.
Meanwhile, the two-member fact-finding team sent by the Ministry of Human Resources Development has almost completed its work and is scheduled to leave for Delhi this evening.
Rohit, who was expelled from hostel as part of disciplinary measures along with four other students of Ambedkar Students Association (ASA) a couple of weeks ago, allegedly committed suicide at the campus hostel on Sunday.
