Educomp Solutions Ltd on Saturday launched SmartclassOnline, an e-learning platform for students, parents, teachers and the school administration to improve the learning process for children and make it engaging.
“A student gets a login ID and password to learn through audio visual content at home. He can send queries to teachers, take tests online, see previous years' question papers, among others,” Divya Lal, COO, Educomp Smartclass, said.
The curriculum reach extends from kindergarten to grade 12, covering subjects such as Mathematics, Science, English, EVS, Social Studies, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, Economics, Accountancy and Business Studies.
The company has also launched a mobile app where most key features will be available.
Parents too can monitor their ward's progress through the platform, she added.
Schools can opt for a free start up pack and move to a full pack later. Students will be charged Rs 35 per month for the service, Shantanu Prakash, CMD, Educomp Solutions Ltd, said, adding that the company is targeting 1 million online learners in the next 12 months.
The company has partnered with KV Intelliprop to develop the platform for SmartclassOnline.
