Aiming to provide modern technology for its registered CA students, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has signed an MoU with Ministry of HRD to use the upcoming DTH platform.
HRD Minister M. M. Pallam Raju said “DTH channels would be used for imparting education for the first time, conventionally it is being used only for entertainment.” He further added that such initiative will be of great help in providing useful content to the students.
K Raghu, President ICAI, added, “The content that shall be beamed through ICAI channel can be of tremendous help not only to CA students but to commerce students as well. With this facility we can reach out to the remotest corners of the country.”
The move is expected to benefit more than 8 lakh students pursuing chartered accountancy course across the country.
