The new Companies Act 2013 will ensure corporate governance, transparency and strict compliance and the new legislation is a great transformation in the way companies will function in India, according to S.N. Ananthasubramanian, President of Institute of Company Secretaries of India. He was here to inaugurate the new office of the institute. He said Kochi has been chosen for the office in view of the development initiatives taken by the State. The meeting was presided over by K. Jayan, chairman of the Kochi chapter of ICSI. The programme was followed by a session on the Companies Act by R.Sridharan, Central Council member of ICSI.
