The Institute of Company Secretaries of India is planning to set up a sprawling national campus, according to its president R Sridharan.
“We are looking for a 50-acre land for setting up the campus in a state which will facilitate in giving the required amount at a concessional rate,” Sridharan told reporters here today.
He said the ICSI course was in a distant education mode like CA and Cost Accountancy.
“We have now come up with a centre in Mumbai where classes will be held for students,” he said.
Sridharan said that depending on the success of the class room courses, the model would be replicated in other centres of the country.
ICSI, which is going to hold its national convention in the city from tomorrow, will also hold workshops across the country to familiarise the participants with the new Companies Act 2013 which replaced the old Companies Act of 1956.
