The Institute of Rural Management, Anand (IRMA) concluded its 38th convocation with as many as 171 students receiving post-graduate diploma in rural management and two students being awarded fellow in rural management.
In his convocation address, Chief Guest retired bureaucrat and former Chief Secretary of Kerala, SM Vijayan highlighted the significance of Amul model in the farmers' welfare. "I see a potential Kurien in each one of you. Under the Amul Model, the ownership rests with the last farmer. That has gained importance in today's context given the plight of the farmers."
Vijayan further stated that "rural management is something in which all of us need to be continually lobbying, not ordinary lobbying but activist lobbying. It is not management in any sense of the term, the management word is accidental, it is totally transformative."

IRMA’s Director, Hitesh Bhatt, stated that "IRMA's new curriculum has been designed keeping in view the evolving needs of development and the business sectors alike."
Dilip Rath, Chairman, IRMA, said, "The entire IRMA fraternity should be proud of the fact that as an institution we have contributed significantly to the progress and development of the nation, the rural sector in particular."
Topper of the 38th batch, Chinmay Didwaniya received prestigious Vasanthi Gold Medal.
