Chief Economic Advisor to the Government of India, Krishnamurthy Subramanian, has been awarded ‘professor of the year’ at the Indian School of Business (ISB) for the elective courses he taught for the Class of 2019 which graduated on Friday.
He was one among the few other faculty members who also received the award. ISB recognizes best professors on the basis of their courses, methods and feedback from the students. The award was given to him on the basis of students’ feedback for making ‘difficult concepts simple, his passion for finance and providing deep insights into the topic, ISB Dean Rajendra Srivastava said while announcing the award in the graduation ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Subramanian, said if ambition of young graduates was only to become rich, “it shows the extreme poverty of ambition. Money can be in one’s wallets and bank accounts but not in the mind.”
