Infrastructure player, L&T on Monday announced the beginning of L&T Institute of Project Management (IPM) and L&T Power Training Institute (PTI) at the L&T Knowledge City in Vadodara.
Group executive chairman, A M Naik, inaugurated the institutes, in the presence of Chief Minister of Anandiben Patel, and Cabinet Minister, Saurabhbhai Patel.
IPM is set up for furthering excellence in project management. With a basket of courses, its knowledge initiatives are emerging as benchmarks in project management field. The entire 5 phases of project lifecycle – initiating, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and closing – are covered in its pedagogy.
IPM has a tie-up with George Washington University, USA, and Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, and is a registered educational provider of Project Management Institute (PMI), USA.
Power Training Institute provides a training platform for power sector professionals. Using case-study, field visits, state-of-the-art simulator training and interactive information sharing by subject experts, PTI grooms a new generation of power project managers.
PTI also designs, delivers and monitors the customer training programmes which are conducted as part of contractual requirement of each project. It conducts short and long term courses customised as per the target group’s needs, a company statement said.
