The Centre for Supply Chain Education and Research of Manipal University and the Nellore-based Krishnapatanam Port have signed an MoU to develop and deliver focussed education programmes.
A press release by the university here said that the other areas of focus will be to identify and encourage joint research initiatives, organise conferences through well-researched papers and case studies, and develop and deliver joint development programmes for faculty and management professionals.
The port will benefit from the academic base of Manipal University for consultancy and turnkey projects. Manipal University will design customised programmes for careers in port management, containerization, warehouse management and supply chain management, it said.
Anil Yendluri, Chief Executive Officer of Krishnapatanam Port, and Narayana Sabhahit, Registrar of Manipal University, signed the MoU recently, the release added.
