Information training company NIIT Ltd partnered with Microsoft on Tuesday for courses in Cloud.
The companies expect that this partnership will create 1,00,000 newly skilled Cloud-ready professionals over the next there years in India.
This will enable the students to look at the next generation opportunities in the field of cloud computing, cloud services, and Apps development.
Further, the benefits of Microsoft Certification integrated with NIIT programmes will now be made available to students both in the retail and academic space by NIIT.
“It is only befitting therefore that we launch programmes to cater to the rising demand for cloud-ready professionals for the 21{+s}{+t} century,” G. Raghavan, Chief Executive, Career Building Solutions, NIIT, said.
He said NIIT and Microsoft have been strategic partners for over two decades now, with the unified purpose of developing contemporary talent pool for the global IT industry.

A recent IDC study, predicts that cloud computing will generate over two million jobs in the next three-four years in India and around 14 million new jobs worldwide.
NIIT’s shares were trading at Rs 32.10 around 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, up 0.47 per cent from the previous close.
