Yoga practitioner turned FMCG mogul Ramdev’s new venture University of Patanjali on Monday invited applications from teachers and students for academic session 2016-17.
“Explore the opportunities to be a student in different streams or to be a guru at Patanjali University,” Ramdev tweeted on Monday.
The courses offered are BA, MA, PhD and Diploma in Yoga Science, MA in Sanskrit Literature, Philosophy, Psychology, Tourism Management, apart from shoert-term courses and certificate courses in Yoga therapy.
Those students with at least 65 per cent marks in Class XII or graduation can apply and the last date to submit the application is July 31, 2016.
“The university will ensure job placements in India and abroad with a total package ranging from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000,” the note issued by the University said.
It has also invited applications for teaching faculty for Professor and Assistant/Associate Professor level “with a special provision for teachers who are steeped in Sanskrit lore and Vedic literature”. Scholars and teachers will be paid from ₹30,00 to ₹1 lakh or above per month as per UGC norms.
