Indian students intending to pursue higher students in the US should do their home work and ascertain the credentials of the University, was the advice of Katherine Dhanani, Consul General, Consulate of US, Hyderabad.
She stated this in the context of Indian students facing problems with dubious universities in the US.
They should visit www.educationusa.gov or www.usief.org to seek credible information.
In at least two instances a large number of Indian students, especially those from Andhra Pradesh have fallen victims, because of the US Government questioning the bonafides of the universities in recent times.
Katherine Dhanani was delivering the Foundation Day Lecture-2012 at the School of Management Studies, University of Hyderabad on the theme ‘What it’s to be a diplomat manager’, on Tuesday.
Venkata Ramana, Dean of the Management School welcomed and felicitated the Consul General.
