All the 391 students of the Manipal-based TA Pai Management Institute (TAPMI), belonging to the batch of 2013-15, have got placements in this year’s placement process.
A press release by the institute said here on Friday that 107 companies participated in this placement process. The selection process included elementary screening, group discussions and personal interviews. The average take-home package for the batch went up to Rs 8.70 lakh from last year’s amount of Rs 8.41 lakh.
The highest domestic offer was made by Microsoft at Rs 14.55 lakh. One international company hired two students with a package of Rs 15 lakh. Students received 18 pre-placement offers this year.
The institute said that 41.1 per cent of students were hired by the IT-ITES sector with 30 companies being a part of it. Nine companies from consulting sector hired 15.09 per cent.
Banking and financial institutions hired 15.34 per cent of students across 18 companies, and the manufacturing sector hired 8.7 per cent across nine companies.
The other sectors that were a part of TAPMI’s placements included FMCG, analytics, e-commerce, m-commerce, pharma and health care, logistics, telecom and education training sector, the release added.
