The Indian School of Business and The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE-ISB Connect) have launched Biz Quest, a nationwide competition for start-ups. The winner could win up to Rs 1 crore.
“This initiative will also support aspiring entrepreneurs, early stage and growth stage entrepreneurs to showcase their business potential among venture capitalists and angel investors,” ISB said here in a statement on Wednesday.
Tie-ISB Connect 2012 will be held from September 20 to 22 at the school's campus here.
Last year, Green India Building Systems and Services (GIBBS), an early stage venture, won Rs 25 lakh as prize investment.
This time the organisers have increased the total funding outlay to Rs 1 crore to increase the reach.
Ventures applying to the Biz Quest would be heard by a panel of angel investors and venture capitalists. Those seeking funding to the tune of Rs 2 crore, have been in existence for one year and follow innovative practices, can apply for the competition.
Proposals should be submitted by August 30. A shortlist will be notified on September 10.
