Vellore Institute of Technology as part of its offering of joint degree programmes has inked memorandums of understanding with three universities in Australia.
Australian National University, the Queensland University of Technology and Deakin University inked agreements with VIT Chancellor Dr G. Viswanathan during his recent visit to Australia, a VIT release said.
The agreement with Australian National University offers opportunities for joint programmes at the bachelors and masters levels, it said. Under the programme, post-graduate students would complete their first year of study in VIT and the second year in Australian National University.
The agreements with the Queensland University of Technology and Deakin University are for joint BTech programmes in the civil, mechanical, electrical and computer science streams. On successful completion of the programme, students would get joint degrees from QUT and VIT, it said.
