The State-level manifesto of the Congress party for 2018-23 says new and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Big Data Analytics will be harnessed in various sectors, including governance and rural development, etc.

The manifesto said that the party would make Karnataka a test hub for all emerging technologies by creating technology centres of excellence in high-intensive areas such as Robotics, Automation and Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics, Secure systems, including cyber security and Blockchain; and Internet of Things (IoT).

Apart from focussing on mobile governance, Congress also wants to leverage the technological options of Big Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning in governance process, it said.

The manifesto suggested that the application of Blockchain-based platforms for storing land records, which is being explored in other countries, may be piloted in Karnataka also.
