‘E-recruitment witnesses 13% growth’

The annual growth trend in Delhi-NCR (down 8 per cent) and Chennai (down 4 per cent) was the lowest.

Overall, India witnessed a 13 per cent year-on-year growth in online recruitment activities in October 2017, with home appliances industry leading the chart, followed by production and manufacturing, a sector which showned growth for the first time since June 2016.

According to the index, NGO/social services, media and entertainment and automotive are some of the other sectors that have registered growth.

However, BPO/ITES witnessed the steepest annual (down 40 per cent) as well as monthly (down 14 per cent) decline among all industry sectors.

Among occupations, finance and accounts are the most sought-after sectors, which saw a growth of 27 per cent.
