The European Union has expressed solidarity with India and extended cooperation in combating terrorism, Ambassador of the European Union to India Tomasz Kozlowski said here on Friday.
According to him, the European Union already has a list of terrorist organisations and Jaish-e-Mohammed, which masterminded the Pulwama attack, features in it.
Terror list
“I would like to tell you that the Jaish-e-Mohammed is listed by the European Union as a terrorist organisation,” Kozlowski told a press conference. “We are with India in combating all forms of terrorism.”
The envoy added that EU officials are in touch with their counterparts in India and “practical issues and means” (to combat terrorism) are being discussed.
“There will be dialogues (referring to Pakistan) and through that we will take our messages. And one of our messages is that each country is responsible for any type of organisations which might be perceived or those who are behind terrorist actions,” he added.
European Union continues to be India’s largest trading partner with bilateral trade between the two being in the range of €110 billion. Post-Brexit, it will still remain India’s largest trade partner.
