Assam Government today said that an Expert Committee will soon be constituted for recommending effective time-bound measures for development and regeneration of forests and conservation of wildlife in the State.
A decision in this regard was taken during a review meeting held by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi with senior officials at his official residence last evening, an official statement said.
The Expert Committee will comprise members from the Environment and Forest department and the law enforcing agencies.
Experts from outside the State will also be included in the committee. The exact time-frame for constitution of the committee has not been mentioned.
