A fire broke out in Shibpur Jute Mill at Foreshore Road in Howrah district.
According to fire brigade sources, no casualty or injury was reported. The fire was detected at about 1 p.m. and 15 fire tenders brought the blaze under control.
The reason for the fire is not yet known, the sources said.
