Start-up Development: The government, today will announce the ranking of States and Union Territories (UTs) on the basis of measures taken by them to promote startups. The Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP), under the ministry of commerce and industry, worked on this exercise.

J&K President’s Rule: The President's rule is set to be imposed in Jammu and Kashmir from today, as the governor’s rule expired yesterday after six months. The Centre recommended President's rule after a report by Governor Satya Pal Malik. Union Cabinet also gave its go-ahead.
Coolpad Launch: Coolpad to launch three new smartphones under its Mega series on Thursday. All the three smartphones are said to be sold exclusively in the offline market. The last device launched in India was the Coolpad Mega 5A.
