The NCLAT will hear RCom's plea seeking to sell its tower and fibre assets.  On April 18, the tribunal had recalled its previous order allowing the sale of the assets after a Supreme Court order. The sale of these businesses form an important part of the overall Rs 25,000 crore asset monetisation plan of the troubled company.

A national panel formed for overseeing the year-long celebrations to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi will hold its first brainstorming session today in New Delhi. The panel is chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and includes all CMs, Gandhians and institutional representatives. The Centre has set aside ₹150 crore for the anniversary celebrations to be held across the country in 2019.

The US Federal Reserve will announce its monetary policy, on Wednesday, at the end of its two-day policy meeting. Investors have all but priced out a rate hike but bet on a rise in the next meet in June.  Data on Monday showed that price gains are now near the Fed's 2 per cent inflation target.

The European Commission will unveil its budget proposals for the seven-year period, starting in 2021. The Commission has called for nations to contribute more towards the EU budget to bridge the Brexit gap and to meet the growing defence, migration and climate change needs. The costs of EU membership played a role in Britain voting to quit the bloc.

China's foreign minister Wang Yi will arrive in Pyongyang on a two-day visit. The trip by Wang Yi comes as Beijing and Pyongyang continue an efforts to repair ties that have suffered due to tensions in recent years, and ahead of a planned meeting between US President Donald Trump and North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un.
