Five things to watch out for on November 6

The United States holds its mid-term elections. Polls suggest the Democratic Party will win control of the House of Representatives after two years of wielding no practical political power in Washington. President Donald Trump's Republicans are likely to keep the Senate, but a hung Congress could hamper his ability to push through his tax and spending plans. The vote is seen as a referendum on President Donald Trump's hardline policies and pugnacious politics.

West Indies and India clash in the second Twenty20 International in Lucknow, which hosts its first international match at the newly-built Ekana Stadium. India’s four-match T20 losing streak against the West Indies ended on Sunday in Kolkata. Match starts 7 pm IST.

Counting of votes for the bypolls held on November 3 to three Lok Sabha and two Assembly seats in Karnataka. There are a total 31 candidates in the fray in all the five constituencies, though the contest is mainly between the Congress-JD(S) combine and the BJP.

South Korean First Lady  Kim Jung-sook, who is in the country to strengthen  cultural ties, will take part in the ground-breaking ceremony of the Queen Suriratna (Heo Hwang-ok) memorial. According to Korean legends, Princess Suriratna from Ayodhya had travelled to Korea and married King Kim Suro and became Queen Heo Hwang-ok some 2000 years ago. In July, the two countries had signed an agreement for expansion of the Suriratna memorial project.The South Korean First Lady will also attend the ‘Deepotsav’ event, organised by the Uttar Pradesh government.

Royal Enfield is set to take the covers off a new motorcycle at the Milan motorcycle show EICMA that opens today. The Chennai-based company has teased an image of the new vehicle on its Twitter page. The company recently launched its first 650cc twin cylinder motorcycles in the US.
