The Congress will launch the second phase of its campaign for the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections from August 21 to October 9. The party plans to cover 64-65 districts during this phase of the campaign, which would be conducted by two convoys of party activists and leaders.

Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has convened an all-party meeting on Saturday to discuss the creation of new districts in the state. Two representatives each from the TRS, Congress, AIMIM, BJP, CPI, CPM and Telugu Desam have been invited to the meeting.
