The annual World Economic Forum opens in Davos today. In the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister since 1997, Narendra Modi will attend the meet, where he will interact with global business leaders besides delivering the keynote address.

Traders will observe a day long ‘Delhi trade bandh’ to protest the ongoing sealing of business establishments by BJP-ruled civic bodies. The Confederation of All India Traders has said the sealing is being conducted by “sidelining fundamental provisions” of MCD Act, 1957 “under the guise of order of the Supreme Court”.
