The year’s first domestic space mission will take off from Sriharikota on Wednesday morning when the PSLV-C31 lifts off with the fifth regional navigation spacecraft, the IRNSS-1E. The 1,425-kg spacecraft will carry navigation and ranging payloads. It is similar to the earlier four navigation satellites IRNSS-1A to 1D which were put in orbit between July 2013 and March 2015.

Governor K Rosaiah is to address the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly today. This will mark the final session of the current State government, which came to power in 2011. The State will go to the polls later this year, probably by mid-April.

A national conference of women writers of South Indian languages will be held at Thunchath Ezhuthachan Malayalam University in Malappuram district of Kerala from Wednesday. Titled as the 'Conclave of South Indian Women Writers', the three-day event is expected to be attended by over 15 prominent writers of Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil language.

TVS Motors is to unveil the long-awaited 200cc bike, TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, today. The model bears a strong resemblance to its smaller siblings, the RTR 160 and 180, and Bajaj Auto’s Pulsar 200 NS. The bike is expected to cost over ₹1 lakh.

The fourth one-day international of the current India-Australia series will be played on Wednesday at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. The hosts have already taken the five-match series, having won the first three games.
