Five things to watch out for today

The Delhi government will organise the year’s first car-free day in north Delhi today. The fourth instalment of the traffic regulation, implemented since October last, will be observed between the Vishwa Vidyalaya Metro Station and the Chhatrasal Stadium. The day will see a cycle rally in which several government and bureaucracy functionaries will take part.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi today. He is likely to flag off a new Varanasi-New Delhi train with improved amenities from his Lok Sabha constituency. Modi will also be travelling to Lucknow.

The 10th edition of the India, Oman joint naval exercise ‘Naseem Al-Bahr’ will begin today in the Arabian Sea. The naval exercise will focus on greater interoperability to counter maritime security challenges.
