Counting of votes for the high stakes Assembly elections in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Kerala and Puducherry will start at 8 am today with trends expected to be available by 11 am. By 12 noon, a final picture could emerge on who would be the major players in the five states. The counting of votes would be over by 3 pm.

Apple Inc will launch its develop-ment centre in Hyderabad today. The facility, its first in India, will begin operations on 1 lakh sq. ft of leased space in WaveRock, a building owned by real estate giant Tishman Speyer at Nanakramguda.

A court in Gaya is to hear the anticipatory bail plea of suspended JD (U) MLC Manorama Devi today. Devi filed an anticipatory bail in the court on May 13 after an arrest warrant was issued against her over liquor prohibition. The Gaya Police had last week sealed the house of the suspended JD (U) MLC.

Micromax subsidiary Yu Tele-ventures is to unveil its next flagship smartphone — the Yunicorn — today. The phone will run on Android with a deep integration of Around Yu, a service aggregator platform introduced last year.

A Union Cabinet reshuffle is likely to take place today as the results of the state assembly elections come in, and a week before the Narendra Modi government completes two years in power. The BJP is also expected to undergo a reorganisation along with the Cabinet reshuffle.
