State finance ministers will deliberate on the model GST law at a two-day meeting in Kolkata beginning today. Finance minister Arun Jaitley will participate in the meeting of the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers and try to iron out differences over the new regime that will create one national market under the Goods and Services Tax.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa will meet Prime Minister Modi in New Delhi today. This will be Jayalalithaa’s first visit to New Delhi after she won the assembly polls. The last time she visited the national Capital was in June 2014 after Modi became Prime Minister.

The Bombay High Court will hear today a hacker’s plea alleging that former Maharashtra revenue minister Eknath Khadse was in regular touch with gangster Dawood Ibrahim. A division bench will hear the petition filed by ethical hacker Manish Bhangale, seeking a CBI probe into the phone calls between the former minister and Dawood.

OnePlus will launch its flagship OnePlus 3 smartphone today via a virtual reality launch. The phone comes in six variants and may be priced at ₹24,702. The device comes with 4GB RAM coupled with 32GB, 64GB, and 128 GB storage.

After chatting with International Space Station astronauts recently via Facebook Live, Mark Zuckerberg will today hold a Live Q&A session. In a Facebook post, Zuckerberg said, “Now with Live, I can hear from more of our community at once and it's a lot more interactive.”
