NCLT to hear petition filed by Ericsson India against Reliance Communication seeking recovery of Rs 491.4 cr. It has also filed similar petitions against Reliance subsidiaries – InfraTel and Telecom. Ericsson had opposed the merger of RCom and Aircel.

US Defence Secretary Jim Mattis will arrive in India today for a two-day visit to boost India-US defence and strategic ties. This will be his maiden visit to the country and the first visit by a cabinet-level official to India under Trump administration. US is already India’s top defence supplier.

Ousted Pakistan prime minister Nawaz Sharif will appear before Pakistan’s Accountability court to face charges in the Panama Papers scandal. Sharif, who stepped down as the country’s PM on July 28, had skipped the previous hearing last week. The court has also summoned his children.

Nokia is all set to launch its flagship Android phone Nokia 8 in India today. The phone which was first unveiled in August 2017 comes with a 5.3 inch HD screen and a 64GB internal memory. It is seen as a direct competition to Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and iPhone 8 and is expected to be around Rs 45,000.
