Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar will be in Pakistan on March 3, an official spokesperson of the Ministry of External Affairs said on Wednesday.
In a statement, the Ministry said that the Jaishankar, in accordance with the Prime Minister’s directive, will be undertaking the first phase of the SAARC Yatra which will see him travel to Bhutan on March 1 and Bangladesh on March 2 before reaching Pakistan on March 3. The Indian Foreign Secretary will travel to Afghanistan on March 4.
The spokesman added that the schedule for the other destinations is being worked out through diplomatic channels
The regional grouping includes Sri Lanka and Maldives apart from the other countries that Jaishankar is visiting.
