Asit Kumar Jana has taken over as the Chief Executive Officer, GAIL Gas Ltd. GAIL Gas Ltd is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maharatna-PSU GAIL (India) Ltd, engaged in City Gas Distribution business across India.
According to a company statement, Prior to this, Jana was Executive Director (Marketing — JV, Gas Transmission, RGPPL & LNG Retail) at GAIL (India) Ltd. Jana was responsible for Gas Transmission and City Gas Distribution business of GAIL through its arm and joint venture companies.
Jana is also a Director in Ratnagiri Gas and Power Pvt Ltd (RGPPL) and Avantika Gas Ltd.
